Yearly service to ensure correct operation. This is often a warranty requirement from stove manufacturers.

A typical service includes the stripping down of the stove, removing all inner panels, baffles, fire bricks etc to allow for a full internal inspection and clean. The operation of air vents is checked to ensure correct air flow into the appliance as vents can become blocked with ash and soot. Door rope seals are checked and replacement in line with manufacturers specifications. Seals around the flue pipe are checked to ensure they remain air tight and any cement jointing is checked for cracks. Finally, the joints on the flue pipe are checked as the cement will crack with time and loose joints can occur.
